First off, by some miracle and a great deal of bespoke cryptography talent by the lecturer in interpreting my handwriting, I passed my exams!
Secondly, the Mad Professor (eye surgeon) has cleared me to have implanted contact lenses. One eye is scheduled for 13/14 March, the other 27/28 March.

Update
Exams yesterday were nasty horrid and vicious, so who knows - they'll tell me in the next few days anyway.
Today has been spent utilising Chris' xmas pressie to me getting pampered at Flackley Ash near Rye, which was lovely. I had Thai fishcakes for lunch which were divine. It's a Best Western with excellent Restaurant and Beauty Centre attached so al lready and raring to go back to work tomorrow.
My aquarium was nicely stocked to an optimum level a little over a week ago, with fishies of various sizes and types, however it now appears that I am proud grandfish of approx half a dozen stowaways which are just a couple of millimetres long and look like eyeballs with microscopic fins; it'll be intersting to see exactly what they are and how many there actually are
